About Me

Dr. Nelson received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2006 where she graduated magna cum laude in the top 2% of her graduating class.  During her time at The University of Texas at Arlington, Jessica was recognized on the Deans list every semester of attendance and received several honors that include the Golden Key International Honor Society award, School of Science Honoree for academic excellence, University of Texas Arlington Scholar award, and  the Duncan Robinson Award for outstanding freshman writing.  After completing her undergraduate education, Dr. Nelson went on to pursue a medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston and graduated in June 2011.  Dr. Nelson completed her post graduate training in Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine/Ben Taub General Hospital and then went on to complete an Emergency Medicine Fellowship in Administration at Baylor Medical Center of Garland with EmCare.
